My stay at Hotel Lighthouse was honestly a letdown, mostly due to poor service and a lack of basic comforts. The location was decent, close to the seaside, but the noise and issues in the room really took away from the experience. While the low price might catch your eye, the overall quality leaves much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were a major disappointment. They felt outdated and poorly maintained, with issues like thin walls offering little privacy. I could hear the neighbors and even the noise from the elevators, which was annoying. Plus, the bathrooms had mold and missing amenities.
Service
5.0
Service was not up to par at all. When I raised concerns about noise and room changes, the reception staff was unhelpful and quite rude. It felt like they had no interest in resolving issues or making my stay enjoyable.
Location
6.0
While the location is pretty good, within walking distance to the seaside, it's important to note that those beaches are mostly concrete docks. The area has potential, but that didn't compensate for the hotel's shortcomings.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was underwhelming, lacking variety and served in a canteen-like atmosphere. The lack of menus and clear service directions added to the confusion. Overall, dining here felt unorganized and unappetizing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were outdated and not well-kept. There was no air conditioning or decent amenities like a working refrigerator. It all felt very basic, and the noise from ongoing renovations didn’t help.

5.0/10

Staying at Hotel Lighthouse was a mixed experience. The location is quite central, making it easy to walk to the nearby beaches, but the hotel itself is an old concrete structure that shows its age, with ongoing renovations contributing to noise. While the beds were clean, the bathrooms left much to be desired, and I encountered issues with water supply. Overall, it's affordable, but you get what you pay for.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms are outdated and lack air conditioning, with minimal amenities and noise issues from neighboring rooms. I had to share a balcony with other guests, which didn’t help with the noise level.
Service
5.0
The staff were helpful, but there was a lack of communication regarding room changes and dining options, leading to confusion during my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel is well-placed for access to the seaside and local restaurants, which was a plus, but the surroundings reflect its communist-era origins.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was decent, but there was no menu provided, and the lack of variety in meals for other meals was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are basic, with several areas needing renovation and the bathrooms showing significant wear and tear. The lack of reliable water supply was particularly frustrating.

My stay at Hotel Lighthouse was a mix of pros and cons. The location in Igalo was convenient, as it was just a short walk to the seaside and nearby restaurants. However, I faced several issues with the room and the dining options, which significantly affected my experience.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in a newly renovated deluxe room, which was fantastic with large comfortable beds and a plasma TV. However, friends in other rooms faced issues like mould and malfunctioning amenities. Noise from the elevators was disturbing, too.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but communication about room changes and dining options could have been clearer. I felt frustrated by the lack of acknowledgment regarding our grievances.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in Igalo was a highlight, with easy access to the beaches and a lovely promenade filled with bars and restaurants. It was a great area to explore on foot.
Dining
5.0
While breakfast was satisfying in the deluxe room restaurant, the dinner options were a letdown with a lack of variety and confusion over dining arrangements. I was unaware of which restaurant to use during our stay.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has a basic setup with no air conditioning and functional bathrooms, but ongoing renovations meant that things were a bit chaotic. I appreciated the clean bedding but overall, the facilities were lacking.

6.8/10

My stay at Hotel Lighthouse was incredibly disappointing. While the location was decent for accessing the seaside beaches, the overall experience was marred by poor service, noisy accommodations, and lack of privacy. I expected better for the price I paid. 😟

Rooms
5.0
I experienced thin walls, making it impossible to sleep through the noise from guests and cleaning staff. The bathroom had black mold, and the second room was much smaller and had issues with isolation.
Service
5.0
The reception staff were not helpful when I raised concerns about my room change and the noise. Overall, there was a lack of attention to customer needs.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location in downtown Igalo was good for walking to the coast, which was one of the few positives of my stay.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were limited and the food was repetitive, which was not what I expected from a full board meal plan.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were quite basic and there were ongoing renovations. The hotel had no parking and, alarmingly, there were times with no water.

I had a rather disappointing experience at Hotel Lighthouse. While the location in Igalo is great and the beach isn’t far, the state of the hotel was subpar and the service left much to be desired. I found the room arrangements confusing and uncomfortable, which overshadowed some of the positives of my stay.

Rooms
5.0
My room was claimed to have a sea view, but I had to switch to a smaller twin room after five days for no reason. The first room had black mold and a leaking sink, and the second was noisy and cramped.
Service
5.0
I was really frustrated with the service. When I raised issues, the staff didn’t seem to care and just suggested going to another hotel without any apology or help.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located close to the seawall and local cafes, which is definitely a plus. I enjoyed being able to stroll to the beach and explore the area easily.
Dining
5.0
The food was pretty repetitive and overall underwhelming. I was also confused about which restaurant to use, which was frustrating, considering I was on a full board meal plan.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities are outdated and in poor condition. The parking situation was also inconvenient, as street parking comes with a daily fee.
